The carillon bells and electronic sound system in the Cox Hall clock tower, erected during a mid-1990s renovation, were made possible by the Robinson Foundation and the Piedmont Foundation to honor J. William Robinson and his wife, Elizabeth S. Robison.
Bill Robinson served as an Emory trustee from 1981 until 1990, chairing the Investment Committee for most of that time.
