Campuses

From its beginning, Emory has sought to preserve and carry forward the ideals that animated much of the nineteenth-century public-mindedness out of which Emory and other colleges had their beginnings. Tempered by an inescapable realism during the dislocations and nightmares of the twentieth century, that philosophy has shaped a university that aims to nurture moral imagination as well as critical intellect and aesthetic judgment. Out of that philosophy have arisen some of the University’s finest achievements in service to the larger community. Ten campuses, one (Valdosta) no longer a part of Emory, contribute to a mixture that makes up the whole. Present campuses are: Oxford; Druid Hills; Clairmont; Briarcliff; Carter Center; Emory at Grady Hospital; Crawford Long Hospital, Wesley Woods; and Emory Atlanta Veterans Affairs Medical Center.
