Robert W. Woodruff Library

Campus: Druid Hills in Atlanta

Namesake: Robert W. Woodruff

Dates: Construction in 1969

Purpose: Academics

The university named its main library in honor of Robert W. Woodruff to recognize his philanthropy, which would only increase in the following decade. Woodruff gave no funds for this building's construction, however.

The 10-story tower was the original building.

The four-story structure in front was added in 1995. Its original name, the Center for Library and Information Resources, was later removed.
