Purpose: Home to the Emory Alumni Association

The Miller-Ward Alumni House is named for the only two people in the university's history to date to have served as "dean of alumni."

  • H. Prentice Miller (1927C 1928G) taught English and advised freshmen and sophomores in Emory College. He served as dean of alumni from 1960 until his death in 1984.
  • Judson "Jake" Ward (1933C 1936G) served as history professor, dean, executive vice president, and interim co-president. He served as dean of alumni from 1984 until his death in 2009 at age 97.
